Meet Jane RVN

Blogs appear on Sunday evenings
to take away the Monday mundanity
Join me as I present to you the perfect collection of articles on animal welfare, some veterinary history and the classic Vet Tails happening in a vet practice near you. Right now.

You may ask why I am the best person to show you around our veterinary world. I'm not even a vet...

In the VetWorld I'm known as Jane RVN and there are several reasons why I am going to be an excellent tour guide.

Firstly I'm a really experienced veterinary nurse, working with small animals and wildife. Lame pigeon or lame dog, I can help. Secondly I have written my vet tails as I share everything, with care and compassion. There is no finger pointing or mockery of colleagues or clients. Just love for the work we do and taking the interesting and unusual in our stride.

Oh, yes. Finally, finally, I'm known for:
- my help for students via books and videos and papers
- my research with Veterinary Humanities
- public speaking at LVS, BVNA, WAHAH and more

And one tiny thing more... I'm a veterinary historian. Yes such a thing exists and I am about to complete a PhD on the history of veterinary legislation. History shows us technology may change but we humans sadly do not!
